yeah the only thing im realistically behind is a weirdly limped 99 and QJ. i shoved, he had 99. just double checking.

I think this hand illustrates exactly why passive villains lose over time, but often do well in a session -- because sometimes they're playing FTOP-wize correctly against our hand (but not our range.) Here, if he could see your cards, he's making exactly the right play on the flop and turn against our hand. Not against what we usually have, but against our specific hand.

Okay, pay him off, nuttin' to do by cry now...and push turn. Still a lot of hands he could have that do this that we beat.

how about c-betting the flop? seems like a dangerous board to do so against a passive villain

Limping UTG is pretty often small aces and mid-small pairs trying to hit a set, so that board actually looks a lot better for our hand than it does for his. It is pretty darn coordinated but I would still usually bet here.
