No reads, villain new to table. I've been taking a bit of getting used to variance (tho i love it) as i've returned to the 2k hands/day slog and i feel as soon as i'd checked this river behind i'd missed a value bet.

i think so as well...hes very unlikely to have a flush unless he had some sort of A6hh hand...is a bet/fold good? hes not c/r a worse straight or set...

I think b/f is better because so few NL50-ers or less bluffraise rivers.

edit: i checked because i felt like i'd throw up if c/r. Don't think this is good enough reason not to bet as a c/r is usually me beat.

yup, looks like a bet on the river to me.

thinking about it, it seems like an ideal spot for a b/f...hes only c/r you with a flush (unless hes either a very bad or good player), while hes calling your bet with a straight or set (though unlikely way to play it), some 2 pair combos are possible...even some donks that cant fold top pair

Definite value bet.
I also raise preflop.

the fact you have to tell me after all that chat about never being bluffraised makes me feel like a dinkus. Plus i've stacked off light a couple of times tonight pretty poorly and it's screwed up my thinking. villain of course had KT and i would have secured more buxxxxx. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Yes, you missed value. Bet river. Been in your spot though, where you just feel the damned c/r coming....
