Second hand at table, no read on villian

so I've got the small overpair which improves to OESD on turn, I'm thinking I should have shoved turn here or at least bet the pot. Is this an auto-call on the river readless as villain is SS?

Not a bad fold there. I have been playing there a bit recently and some players tend to push the second they get it. Irregardless of stack size and other things.

It's possible Top pair would have stayed untill river.
I don't know about pushing the turn, still kinda new, maybe someone else can handle that.

I sent a PM

keep your PF raises 4x
I don't know if I'd bet 1/2 pot on the turn, maybe 3/4 or pot. If he's got a drawing hand you're letting him see it for cheap.

Bet pot on the turn and the river plays itself.

As played, I still think a river call is ok getting almost 3:1 with your overpair. Your asking Villain to bet by checking on the river, so you should call.

Alternatively, just put Villain all-in on the river. If he was slowplaying an overpair, set, two pair or top pair, so be it.

You're line looks weak from villain's perspective from the turn on. Given that and the stack sizes I think this is a definite call. But you need to pot the turn.
