no, what would be confusing would be developing a game similar to one called 'rugby' and then giving it a name already in use by another very popular sport: 'football' - when in fact this new game has much less of a connection with the name than the current name-holder and then referring to this sport exclusively as 'football' to the general confusion of the masses.

Personally, I vote on Fanball, but yahoo is probably a closeish second place.

I prefer 2QB/2RB/3WR/1TE/1DP/1TeamD/1kicker.

5points for TD's, 1pt/20yds, .5pts/reception, standard kicking/defensive values.

I'd be happy to organize on either fanball or yahoo if you guys are interested. And in terms of money, I'd be happy to hold in some account but I don't have that many posts (mainly long term lurker) so I assume people would rather leave that to someone more "reputable" here on 2p2 or whatnot.

Ahh, I think that's pretty unfair on 'The Other Football.' It's not that close to rugby, rugby players kick the ball much more often in my experience. With NFL et al it's just much more defined...you have 'kickers' etc. So, the kickers are playing football, I dunno what the rest are doing...paddedarsesball maybe?

Im in. But I really, really vote for 2qb and change the flex to a WR. Think those leagues add a little more flavor and take the godliness out of having 2big rb's a bit.

Also, I can pretty much do anytime, but i'm in Australia. So if theres some way to make it work to have a semireasonable hour for all of us - US, UK, Australia, thats awesome. If not i'll stay up late.

its currently set at 5:45 EST. I am off of work all day Weds so anytime is good for me that day... Majority rules though. 5:45 is the LATEST time yahoo will let us start, we can go earlier if need be

Thoughts on doing it on the morning? 5:45 EST would be 7:45am here which would be fine except I have basketball practice I am supposed to be at.

Anytime before noon would be amazing for me, but I could even do it at like 3:30EST or something. I'm guessing people might be working during the day though and need to do it later...anyone?

Can we please have fractional scoring though? I really hate round numers, lol. I think 19 yards should be 1.9 points and not 1. Evens out as a whole but I just prefer fractional since no one is doing it by hand, make every yard count.

Fractional scoring is tight, though i'm a big fan of 5pts/td and 1pt/20yds for both receiving and passing, with a .5pts/reception bonus added in for a little entertainment value.
