Hi there.

A friend of mine owed me some money(cash) but instead we worked a deal that he would give me 20$ on FT instead.

So here I am with 20$...

I am a decent enough player that I think I can turn this into a bankroll, however I have a question.

What is the best game to play? Should I do 1$+.25 SnGs? or cash games. Is the lowest cash game on Full Tilt .5/.10?
That is kind of rough on a 20$ bankroll as it would only give me 2 max 10$ buy-ins. Is there a lower stakes game on FT?

What would you guys suggest that I do?

Thank you

i don't play on full tilt, but just have a look at the menu and you can see how low the games go. if they have .01/.02 i recommend that over $1.25 sngs. the rake in those makes it very difficult to build a bankroll.

5c/10c is the lowest cash game that Full Tilt offers. The minimum you can buy in at cash games tables is 20x the BB, so for the $10NL tables it's $2.00, which gives you 20 buy-ins. Double and leave. Repeat.

10% rake at 5c/10c at FT

- Stick in your $2(assuming u still have $2), get 1 caller win the pot =

$4pot (- 0.40 rake) = bet $2 to win $1.60.

Good luck gettin above $4 to leave. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

10NL on Full Tilt is [censored].

With this high rake, your winrate increases by 3.5PTBB. You are a solid player, if you play this stake break even.

honestly, I would play 2 10$ buyins at the .05-.10 games.
If you dont like taking that risk, my suggestion is to try to play limit until you get to 50$.

This isn't right afaik - the FT rake is taken up to a $2 pot size. So the rake on this hand would be 10% of $2, or $0.20. On Stars, the rake is taken at 5% up to $3, and so the Stars equivalent would be $0.15. Which actually makes FT + RB the same as Stars in this situation, although I fully accept this is the best case scenario for FT rake versus Stars.

Its gonna be a huge gambol regardless of how you take it. Just shortstack 100NL till you get a hundered of busto. Your ROR at 10NL would be about 70%. 95% at 100NL. Considering that players will give you no credit for shortstacking, you can quantiple in two hands.
