Its a call

you bet $0.40 into a $0.60 pot on the flop with second pair
so whats the problem when calling a $0.50 bet for a $1.98 pot.

What am I beating here though? I figure the flop call puts him at 55-QQ, 56, and kings with a jack or worse kicker. KQ and AK would raise right? My plan on the flop was bet/fold, so I shut down, maybe incorrectly. Does anyone leave 55, 66, 88, 99 in his range on the river? Those hands might go for value given how weak i look (my hand looks a lot like a missed big ace) but it still seems like a really thin call
