I have missed some flops and draws and am about half a BI down on this table, but have not gotten out of line so far or shown bad hands. Villain is a 35/25/1.5 type over a couple of orbits and looks solid although I have not seen him show anything yet.

I raise AQo UTG. Villain calls in SB.

Flop AT8 two hearts.
He donks 3/4. I call.

Turn some rag.
He donks 2/3. I call.

River another blank. Pot $25.
He checks. I bet $15.

Hence why should I not be the river?

I think he is trying to extract value from a weaker Ace here?

What do we do if he raises?

Whats with the slowplay accusations on this forum recently. Just because someone executes pot control and does not go berserk in position with TPGK does not mean he slowplays.

Yeah, he's probably checking to induce a bluff from a busted draw here a lot, but that doesn't mean he won't show you a better hand very often when he calls.

I like this a lot. No reason to raise every flop if you have a good hand. His donkbet might easily be something like A-rag, he donks and wants to see where he's at. With a good hand, he'll often c/r the flop.

I will often check river though. If I bet, I'd like to bet less, so that he's more likely to call with weak hands and so that we can fold if he shoves.

lol...

I would make it a bit more on the river actually. I might raise the flop donk though to charge draws and get some value.
