25NL - Annoying JJ hand line check.

Villain was 39/4/2.25 over 49 hands. I feel like I turned into a station here. These hands drive me crazy because I play pot odds when the bets are this small.

This seems OK to me. You have a hand with some showdown value, and you managed to get to the end for cheap. If button is betting bigger, I'm folding, but these small bets are OK to call.

i dunno - villain's bet sizes are perfect in this instance if he actually has an A. I guess I call and lose this one, but please, bet more on that flop.

Why would I bet more? The flop is as dry as dry gets. If he doesn't have much, he's folding to 1.25 just as easily as 2.25. That's exactly how much I'd bet if I had AK, AA, 77, etc here.

ok - if you bet the same w/ AK/AA/77, then I guess this is alright, however, if I see someone betting that small, I'll most likely raise w/ any 2.

Also, if you have 77, I like a bigger bet since if he has an A he will call.

I don't think you can do much to get away from this. I might have bet a bit more on the flop (but only because my standard flop bet is more around 70-80% of pot).

Otherwise looks fine.

What was the villain's fold to c-bet %? If it was over 65% then I don't like the turn call one bit. On a board that dry he's rarely floating you with worse than an ace with those kind of stats. That's why you c-betted so small wasn't it - so it would cost you less to find out if you were beat? If it was less than ~65% firing again 'may' be an option.Relatively passive players like him will usually bet again if they bet once I've found.
Firing again on the turn is an option against habitual floaters but I don't think he calls that often with 76/43 etc with only a redraw. He certainly doesn't bet the turn with those either. I don't think you see 44-66/88-TT often enough to justify either firing again or calling a (value?) bet.

Getting value towned by loose passives sucks hard, especially when you're giving off such major weak-tight vibes that he thinks his "small" value bets are clever.
