Just recently moved up to 50NL and running like [censored]. Getting floated and 3bet light like crazy. Probably poor table selection.

No reads on villain other than seeing him fold for $3 in a $16 pot. He's 64/36/3.6/40

Hero ($49.25)
SB ($19.45)
BB ($49.40)
UTG ($45.70)
MP ($38.60)
CO ($28.50)

Preflop: Hero is Button with J/images/graemlins/heart.gif, J/images/graemlins/spade.gif.

Flop: ($9.75) 9/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 7/images/graemlins/spade.gif, T/images/graemlins/heart.gif (2 players)
UTG bets $8.5, Hero calls ?

Overpair + gutshot...?

Only thing in his range i'm ahead of here is A9 and AT. He open minraises like every other hand.

Is this a standard fold?

I start out with calling. I'd prolly c/f the turn. Villian is an agro monkey which is making me consider doing something dumb.

I call... I think he would reraise with KK/AA, leaving 55, 66, 88, A9, AT, AK??, QJs to beat... Even if he has a set/twopair/QQ you beat you have some outs and you have position.

I fold the turn if he bets more than half pot.

I don't like what I've just written /images/graemlins/smile.gif Someone that's OOP in a pot that you 3bet cannot be allowed to make you fold an overpair by just using the donkbet/bet/bet line. I might like to raise this flop and see that he does on the turn... Could be spewy, but we cannot be this exploitable, plus we have outs and position, now its time to get the betting lead.

This is a pretty weak bet IMO...

I think you got to decide on the flop what you gonna do with the hand. JJ = AA here IMO. You are not getting any smarter on the turn.
I would reraise flop and call shove against this type of player. It`s high variance to play these kind of maniacs, but it`s probably a good spot to take a stance, cause he will likely fire again on turn and not slow down.

Would he be betting a straight or set like this ?
