I have only 23 hands from villain, but he is a big donk for sure: 78/26/1.4

River card is really ugly, I don't think I can call his allin raise. My plan was to push if no 5,6 or 8 come on the river. Oh well..

SB ($36.45)
BB ($25)

Preflop: Hero is MP with 6/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 7/images/graemlins/heart.gif.
UTG calls $0.25, Hero raises to $1.25, 1 fold, SB calls $1.15, 1 fold, UTG folds.

The turn raise seems fine to me.

The river card is unfortunate, and I think the fold is good.

reraise is optimal imo... easy river fold. WP

I like the turn raise and the river fold. Terrible river card for your hand

I like to call preflop. A raise is not to bad though.

I play it the same... If he does this too often I start calling though. If he had the straight, wouldn't he be better off betting less? He's either vbetting too big, bluffing, or bluffing and vbetting this big. Try to find out which one. If he's a regular I might look him up after a couple of these bets to find out.

Thanks for your replies. Ok, then my play was reasonable at least. I hate playing against overly loose opponents in a vacuum (maybe he's bluffing or he's got the nuts and want me to think that he's bluffing).

Just wondering, why does everyone think that hero shouldn't bet flop?

I bet that flop 100% of the time if I've raised pf and villian isn't a complete station. K46r is better but Q64r is still a nice flop.

I agree with robinmbuk.

OP could easily take down the pot right there, and if villain spews and calls well, hes going to get more money in after our turned 2 pair. Rivercard is unfortunate but I think its +EV to get a bet out there on the flop. Otherwise if turn card is brick and he bets we are a bit lost and could make a worse decision.

However, I would probably switch up my play here as well so OP played it fine using his line as well.

This is a perfect flop to cbet. Other than that, I think the hand looks good.

Yep I agree with the above
I prefer a continuation bet on the flop pretty much all the time.
Everything else looks perfect

Usually i cbet this flop all the time. I cbet ~90% when HU.
Maybe I was mixing it up at the wrong time :/
Everything had been much, much easier on the turn.

Villain is 78/26, I don't mind a cbet, but I certainly don't mind a check either.

I donīt understand why you should cbet this flop, when villain most likely going to call anyway, and bottom pair canīt take this down often enough to make it profitable, right?

It would be because if he has nothing we have the best hand and if he has something we would build a pot to make bigger bets when we hit the straight. Also he is not calling anyway, he's calling way more often than he should.

i guess i'm the only one who calls the river against this villian? :{
