Iffy spot here. Villain was running 43/10...I'm not too sure about this hand. I had seen him run bluffs before...but, not like this. Thoughts on the call?

I just recently moved up from .25 NL. Thanks for input in advance.

Automuck? I've dabbled in cash in the past, but I've just picked it up seriously. Spent a few months at .25 NL, running about 9 BB/100. I feel I'm very competent, and good enough to play .50 NL, but I do know I have leaks. How big is it of a leak in your opinion to complete with 25o there?

btw I like the turn 3-bet cause your hand is vulnerable but most often ahead. This bet collects value from pretty much any Queen while shutting down the villain any time he is floating here and by not simply calling you wont put yourself in a tough position to call a vallain bluff on the end

It's a limped pot, so going mad w/ bottom two is not likely to be profitable. You win small or lose big. I think his turn raise puts me into calling mode. If he has a queen, than we win a little something. If he has better two+ we lose the least.

what is the point in completing the sb here

if you hit 2 pair like you did you lead he calls.. then you bet the turn and he raises it puts you in a tough spot oop and the pot was initally small...

i either fold or raise here... if his fold to steal is high i will raise but if he is agressive and capable of plays i will absolutely fold this hand and get onto my btn hand

Here are the mistakes that I see:

Preflop: This is not a good hand to complete with. 25o is just trash. You shouldn't even complete with this hand if there are limpers. Open-completing in general is not a good idea because you are out of position and good players will abuse you by raising most of the time that you complete. You should either raise or fold, and 25o is definitely not a raising hand. I know it's tempting to complete because it only costs a little more to play, but it's not worth it. Just let it go.

Turn: Don't call his all-in. Most players, especially passive ones, will not put their whole stack in unless they have a very strong hand. This could be TPGK from time to time, but I think it is more likely that he has a two pair that beats you or a weak set. Again, time to let it go.

I like everything else that you did during the hand.

thanks for the input guys...this gives me a good idea where i want to work on. completing with trash in the sb in this spot is just a dumb, dumb leak. against someone with an af this low, i'm probably not ahead that often. he told me where i was at on the turn after my 3 bet, and i didn't listen.

thanks again. /images/graemlins/smile.gif
