Gah, 2nd hand at the table..I guess this is a fold readless?
He could've been playing Ax or K9 like the nuts but a turn raise is usually strong at uNL, as I understand it.
He's running around 33/12/8 atm however, over 50 odd hands

I saw no real reason to raise pf OOP and against unknowns.

Villain later open shoved in sb, blind vs blind, maybe overly aggro.
.40c is prob better on the flop, but i don't think it changes his calling range.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Why would you not raise PF for value? As a rule, stay out of big pots in unraised pots. This was all created by not raising PF though.

By not raising PF and taking inititive, you're playing a multiway pot, with a very vulnerable hand OOP and you have no idea what type of hands you're facing. You could be facing a hand like KJ/J9/K9/A9...all hands you beat. But you realize all you've done is out-coolered someone, right?

It's an auto call then?

I'd absolutely agree with you about pf if it wasn't my 2nd hand... hate playing inflated pots OOP and then without reads, well.... lol. Still, a raise and initiative gives some credibility to my hand, and would give a pot size that makes getting stacks in inevitable and required prob.
Fair points, cheers

It looks like you let QT hit. As said in the last 4 posts, you should have raised preflop. Don't make excuses for not raising... you're just justifying passive play. You have a good hand, probably the best hand, so raise.

Raise preflop to 0.8$ and bet the flop at least 3/4 potsize

basically, he's saying you were a tad on the passive side for this hand.

This hand would have been a lot easier to play if you had rasied pf. Then you are able to make a nice sized bet on the flop, and 3 bet ai on the turn
