Ok this is my first post on the 2+2 poker forums. I have posted on another forum for a few years but want to branch out a bit, just to see if I get different advice and what not.

The hand in question..No PT stats, sorry.
I have played about 4 orbits and haven't done a whole lot..Table has been pretty tight and I have literally seen Villain do nothing, but then again, I don't pay attention extremely well...His raise was like instantaneous... Whats your action here, considering this is a pretty bad flop for an open limp/call? I don't think calling is an option unless we call to shove a non heart/non ace turn, but it would seem as now is the time to make a commitment decision

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool (http://poker-tools.flopturnriver.com/Hand-Converter.php) from FlopTurnRiver.com (http://www.flopturnriver.com) (Format: 2+2 Forums)

MP ($50.05)
Button ($50.70)
Hero ($49.55)
BB ($76.25)
UTG ($52.85)

Preflop: Hero is SB with J/images/graemlins/spade.gif, J/images/graemlins/heart.gif.
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, MP calls $0.50, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $2.5</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, MP calls $2.

Flop: ($5.50) 4/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 8/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 3/images/graemlins/heart.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $3.5</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP raises to $11</font>, Hero ?

If I made any mistakes in reference to posting guidelines, I apologize, although I think I did it right

I think a push is correct here, guy probably has A8h or something. Higher pocket pair would have reraised and everything else is ridiculous except pp 8.

Bet a little more on the flop, $4 is better. Villain could do this with 99+, or a set, or twopair, or even A2 or 56. However, since in 24 hands villain has done nothing, I'd suggest folding. If villain is a nit and he's starting to play back, there's a good chance he's got the goods

If hero had AA-KK it would be a standard push right? Jacks can be beat by more hands. Slowplayed AA-QQ. Also if villian is drawing, he may have an overcard to JJ. It would be less of a threat if hereo had AA-KK.
