Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.10/$0.25 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker (http://www.legopoker.com) Hand History Converter (http://www.legopoker.com/hh))

Hero (SB): $27.00
BB: $22.95
UTG: $19.55
MP: $62.25
CO: $27.45
BTN: $43.10

Hero checks, BB checks, UTG checks, CO checks

River: ($5) 3/images/graemlins/spade.gif (4 Players)
<font color="red">Hero bets $2.50</font>, BB calls $2.50, UTG folds, <font color="red">CO raises all-in to $26.20</font>, Hero calls all-in for $23.25, BB folds
Uncalled bet of $0.45 returned to CO

Pot Size: $59.00 ($2.95 Rake)

CO had 2/images/graemlins/heart.gif 2/images/graemlins/spade.gif (a straight flush, Five high) and WON (+$29.05)
Hero had K/images/graemlins/spade.gif J/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (a flush, Ace high) and LOST (-$27.00)

I was worried about the deuce of Spades but I think on the long run I get positive Results with calling in such situations.

Or was this a bad call?

Don't ever fold the 2nd/3rd nuts for fear of a straight flush please please please. At these retarded limits for only 100BB, his range is A LOT more than the 2s and 6s7s.

Never. This is just variance.

You had the second nuts here: folding your A-high flush on the river would have been a huge, huge mistake. You got unlucky, don't worry about it.

what exactly is a lot? how many times do you see a 4 flush on the board, with a one card straight flush possibility where the guy will make a big all-in bet w/ only the 2nd nut flush?

sorry guys - i really don't think this is bbv, it's definitely a close decision in my book.

Not easily, but I think I find a fold here. We've only invested $3.75 in this pot and the 2s is clearly in his range. People at $25nl love to call with wheel draws. You may see the Qs sometimes, but I think of that river as the same as if the board paired.

edit to add: your check on the turn certainly makes it look like you are on the flush draw. That makes the Qs pushing the river less likely.
