Alternative lines here? I bet the flop because 99-QQ might call. What do I do about the turn here?

As played, you have to call this turn.

I also sometimes check/All-In turn. Do you have any read on villain? I don't think I ever fold here vs. an unknown.

Given the strength of your hand and how much money went in relative to Villain's stack preflop, I think you're practically committed to showdown once Villain calls your massive 3-bet. So, basically, it seems fine to me.

At least you made Villain invest a great deal of money preflop as a huge dog /images/graemlins/tongue.gif.

hi all,

orange, you said you'd check either flop or turn and I think that is best as well. However, how would you guys play it after a check?

If we check flop and he checks flop, we're betting the turn to get some value from QQ down right?

As played, if we check the turn, and he checks through, what's the best play here? I was talking to lurker and we were discussing the merits of c/f, c/c, b/f on river. The thing is, since we're OOP, by checking the river, the villain (if he's observant) can bet to try to push us off our hand. So if we check the turn and he checks through, he could bet on the river because we've shown so much weakness.

However, it seems that the c/c line doesn't make much sense because the villain would probably not bet QQ, TT, 99 as a bluff because of its showdown value. So everytime we c/c, it seems like we're doing it when we're beat.

What about b/f? Since we've checked the turn after leading the flop, it could seem like we're bluffing and QQ down might call? But b/f seems so crappy because the stacks are small.
