This was about the 15th hand dealt at the table, I don't have any solid reads on villain. This was the first time I raised his BB. In this situation what do you do?

Hero (SB): $52.55
BB: $91.10
UTG: $95.30
BTN: $32.65

Preflop: Hero is dealt K/images/graemlins/spade.gif A/images/graemlins/spade.gif (4 Players)
2 folds, Hero raises to $2.00, BB raises to $5.00, Hero???

i would 4bet and call a push unless i know more about villain. its HU, and people bring the ridiculous quite often.

At this point if I am beat I am destined to get stacked here correct? I just wanted to make sure my preflop line was correct.

A pf shove would be horrible. 4-bet pf looks very good.

On the flop the question is crai or shove into him?

PF 4b is what I would do.

You only have a PSB left - shove.

Or go for the CR - but people check behind IP a lot after getting 4b PF.

If he checks behind and you shove turn it might look more like you have queens.

What happens when hero misses the flop. What's his line then?

Hero shoves almost any flop here

EDIT: Given a tight 4betting range

I probably would shove too, but betting 15 and shoving river, seems a better way to get the money in for sure.
I know this will not be loved by many, but even betting around ten, keeps him in, and gives him a chance to bluff with a weaker hand, and huge odds to keep him going with the jack or practically any pp.

Came back from dinner, here's the entire hand.

Hero (SB): $52.55
BB: $91.10
UTG: $95.30
BTN: $32.65

Preflop: Hero is dealt K/images/graemlins/spade.gif A/images/graemlins/spade.gif (4 Players)
2 folds, Hero raises to $2.00, BB raises to $5.00, Hero raises to $15.00, BB calls $10.00

Flop: ($30) K/images/graemlins/club.gif J/images/graemlins/diamond.gif 8/images/graemlins/heart.gif (2 Players)
Hero bets $20.00, BB raises to $42.00, Hero calls all-in for $17.55
Uncalled bet of $4.45 returned to BB

Turn: ($105.10) T/images/graemlins/club.gif (2 Players - 1 All-In)

River: ($105.10) A/images/graemlins/heart.gif (2 Players - 1 All-In)

Pot Size: $105.10 ($2 Rake)

BB had K/images/graemlins/heart.gif K/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (three of a kind, Kings) and WON (+$50.55)
Hero had K/images/graemlins/spade.gif A/images/graemlins/spade.gif (two pair, Aces and Kings) and LOST (-$52.55)

GG poker!

Don't be results-oriented. You played the hand fine. When AKs runs into KK in a BvB situation, you're supposed to get stacked.

Oh I know, like I said in my original post all I was concerned about was my flop line. Thanks for the help guys!

Edited to sound more clear.

Given that we know I have AK and the flop has a K on it, what are the odds that villain has AK in this situation? KK or AA?

Obviously since it would be the case K, villain having KK would be the least likely hand but what about villain holding AK or AA? Thx!

Anybody raise PF to 18-20 just so push is psb or less instead of more?

Yes I know it was a cooler, this isn't a BBV whine, I wasn't sure if I should have called or shoved PF or 4bet x3 the amount like I did. My question was answered and I felt like posting the entire hand anyway so chill. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Can someone answer my above question please!

One last question. Forget the ace on the river and focus on the flop, is villain here more likely to have the same hand as me (AK) on the flop rather than KK? What about the odds of having AA?

Someone mind posting the percentages?

[/ QUOTE ]

There are 2 ways for him to have KK, 3 ways for him to have AA and 6 ways for him to have AK

So if he ONLY has AA, KK or AK here:

Chance he has KK = 2/(2+3+6) = 18%
AA = 3/11 = 27%
AK = 6/11 = 55%

[/ QUOTE ]Well, I'm not c/fing so either flat calling raise or looking to shove flop. Let him mistake folding best hand every now and then instead of us?
