Didn't have many reads but I had been raising a little bit lately and not catching cards so I havn't been as aggressive. I decided to limp in and thought I struck gold...

You absolutely have to bet the turn. Going to the river, you still had a stack over 8x the size of the pot. You were very lucky that you managed to get it AI here.

Bet 0.60-0.70 on the turn, IMO.

Yea, I was thinking that, but if he reraises I have to call anyway no? I was hoping he was going for the draw or at least thought I was.

Wait, what? You want him to raise if you bet.

If he has the FD, he'll put more money in on the turn, possibly commiting himself on a diamond river. Same with an 8, don't wait for the overcard to hit and possibly kill some of your action. Just bet again, .7-.8 a 3 is not folding here

I agree; bet the turn. Villain called a PSB on the flop, so he'll be interested enough to call a bet on the turn. If he's on a flush or straight draw, he won't like the board pairing, but betting something like 1/2-3/4 of the pot will make you some money in case he checks behind and misses the river.

If you raise PF and get called it's much easier to get the money in when you hit your set. Especially if you cbet a lot.

I also don't mind to take down the blinds + limper with 22 OOP

If he raises, you fist pump and re-raise.

Bet turn.

Consider yourself lucky that you got your stack in here.

I know we're not supposed to be result oriented but I'm still thinking if there was any way I could get away from this. I know I was extremely happy to get the reraise and to get it all in but he had a garbage preflop hand and cought big time.

I guess the only way I could have gotten away from this is raising preflop.

Don't be results oriented. You're thinking about how to get this in every time, not how to get away from it. Villian probably plays this the same way with trips as he would a boat, anyway.

Bet turn. Value! Lots of scare cards can come on river for villain and you will also lose value from flush draws. Bet, bet, bet.
