Hi everyone, this is my first hand post, so please let me know how to improve the format for the future.

In this hand I maybe made a speculative raise preflop, then c-bet the flop. After check-check turn, the river gave me what I considered a beautiful card, but after I bet I had what I thought was a tough decision.

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool (http://poker-tools.flopturnriver.com/Hand-Converter.php) from FlopTurnRiver.com (http://www.flopturnriver.com) (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Hero ($50)
CO ($67.05)
Button ($49)
SB ($50)
BB ($24.45)
UTG ($50)

Preflop: Hero is MP with 2/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 2/images/graemlins/spade.gif.
1 fold, Hero raises to $1.75, CO calls $1.75, Button calls $1.75, 2 folds.

Flop: ($6) T/images/graemlins/club.gif, 3/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 5/images/graemlins/spade.gif (3 players)
Hero bets $4.5, CO folds, Button calls $4.50.

Turn: ($15) 9/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (2 players)
Hero checks, Button checks.

River: ($15) 2/images/graemlins/heart.gif (2 players)
Hero bets $10, Button raises to $42.75 (All-In), Hero ???.

Final Pot: $33.25

I had recently sat so I had no real read on the player. The way I saw this either he made his open ended straight draw as I made my set (I was convinced of this at the time), he had some random low cards that hit two pair on the end, or perhaps (I had no read unfortunately) he put me on a steal after his turn check and was trying to put me to the test.

Thoughts?

Practically there is only one hand besides another the set that beats you. (he would have to be a donkey if he had a set and played it like this). So just a 46 beats you. He can either have a T2 or a 52, 32. Probably he will have more often the straight than these combinations and since the pot odds are not that great i will fold it. And the fact that he may be bluffing is out of the question. A little read here would make the difference between folding and calling.

if he's bluffing it makes more sense to bet the turn yeah.

without a read I tend to just stackoff tho. Even tho he does look a ton like 46.
