View Full Version : This looked like a good place to look for that fold equity.

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.05/$0.10 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker (http://www.legopoker.com) Hand History Converter (http://www.legopoker.com/hh))

SB: $11.05
BB: $12.40
UTG: $16.95
MP: $5.25
Hero (CO): $10.35
BTN: $6.05

Preflop: Hero is dealt Q/images/graemlins/spade.gif A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (6 Players)
UTG calls $0.10, MP calls $0.10, Hero raises to $0.55, 3 folds, UTG raises to $1.00, MP calls $0.90, Hero calls $0.45

Flop: ($3.15) 8/images/graemlins/diamond.gif T/images/graemlins/diamond.gif J/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (3 Players)
UTG bets $2.90, MP folds, Hero raises all-in to $9.35

Nothing really special with him. He's never 3 bet out of the blinds here, but i don't know if he picked up a hand.

I figure i can't fold preflop to a mini raise and a call, not to mention being able to close the preflop action.

On the flop, i got 12 possible outs to the nuts, not to mention, even againts KK or QQ, i've got 3 more.

With 12-15 outs plus fold equity, this is an easy push, right?

dont think you have any fold equity but its never bad to get it all in on flop with 12+ outs.
not sure i like playing AQos in a 3bet pot OOP though :-\
not sure what others think, i think its pretty marginal tbh
vs a light 3bettor its ok, but not vs a tight one.

And just to help boost my post count, i'll follow up.

He mini bet and i had Pos, i figured it was a good time to try to hit.

Had i been OOP as you thought, i'da insta-folded.

Even if it was OOP, I would not fold AQ to a minraise. You are getting huge odds, and having position, its an insta call in PF to that minraise.
IMO this is an absolutely standard shove, and u got some fold equity given the fact that he might have slick.

seems like a good shove, you also have a straight draw here that might beat villains set with which he should call at those limits if hes an average player for that specific limit....plus the value of him folding on flop vs your AI.....i think its good

when your over 50% to win the hand its always a good idea to push. If he folds you claim the dead money and if he calls, your still looking at a profitable situation. This monster draw is def a +EV shove.

Perfectly played. And the call PF is a no-brainer. Even OOP, IMO. Perhaps I just loathe the minraise so much...

In the end, he turned over pocket nines taking away 2 of my 20 outs.

He made his straight on the turn, but i hit flush on the river. GG me.

I'll bet that his hand took a couple more outs than 2 of them, but gh all the way around. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Well, it killed three of my queens, but i don't really care once the money is in. Hand's over, i either played well or not, outcome is unimportant /images/graemlins/wink.gif
