If you played him enough, you must know how he plays sets. Given history he may very well get crazy on 99 here.

not as far as i recall (we hadn't been playing 3 handed long), but he did usually pot it.

I insta-call this and fully expect to be shown complete air or as good as often enough to make this call +EV.

Board is semi-drawy so he could play a set like this but given stats he could think his TT-KK is the nuts here.

tbh, i can see him just calling your flop re-raise with hands that you beat: A7/88/99(you said he 3bets you a fair amount so maybe not 99+). id be tempted to fold here:-\
he can have 67s, 45s, 33, 66, 77,
or A7, 78, 88, 99. maybe a pair+gutshot, but it wouldnt really play like this. its a pretty clear fold imo.
id wait for some more responses first though, as im not that gr8 with AA

Fold, one pair is no good versus this guy

I would be happy calling this

people who say call, is your plan for the rest of the hand to call down? how often is 1 pair likely to be good after 3 streets? (if he bets them?)

IMO you cant call you have to shove or fold

these situations are tricky. I'm not sure if pushing is good because not sure if he calls with worse hands. 10s+? will he call with them? If he leads with 2pair hands etc then its a clear fold. Your raise is pretty strong and the fact he came over again tells me 1pair if no good.
fold/push/call

Greco, good response.

I did fold. I'm feeling fairly comfortable with that. I'm thinking I maybe shouldn't have raised however and just let him keep potting into me.

Your 300BB deep, you only have 1 pair (true it is the nut 1 pair hand), and villian wants to play for stacks. I fold to the flop 3 bet. I really don't see him doing this with a hand like 99. He may play QQ like this on this flop, but from what you said of him 3 betting and blind defending pf alot I think QQ 3 bets pf. He has 67 or a set virtually all the time here, I fold.

[/ QUOTE ] Given OP's description of villians pf tendancies he 3 bets these hands pf.

Correct. Since there is no 3 bet pf, I'd fold. I seriously doubt he'd be on A6 or A7 here, as there is way too big of a range of overpairs that beat him. I can't see how you are possibly good here. I'd say that he's most likely to have a set rather than the 2 pair.

Fold.
