Only ten hands in, but villain seems pretty loose, limping nearly every hand, calling raises after limping and twice showing down marginal hands. Was my betting here flawed?

Looks fine - you got all his money in the middle, which is the goal here. If he had a bigger stack, I'd make the flop and turn bets bigger.

Bet sizing in relationship to the pot:

53% pot on flop
52% pot on turn
83% pot on river

You are doing it backwards. Flop bet should be the largest % bet in relationship to the pot.

As for the hand, getting ai is sooo standard.

why bet more on the flop? I don't want to chase him away. If he pairs anything on that board, he'll call something reasonable, right?

If he's continuing in the hand, he'll call .60 or .40 95% of the time.

SO bet around 1 - 1.10?

On the flop? No, bet $0.60

I see. I misunderstood your first post and forgot what the pot was at the flop.

What did Villain have? Q7 or 99?
Hand seems pretty standard, specially based on your read that he calls too much, which certainly would mean he'd stack off with Kx....

Bastard has K7.

yeah cooler... I dont think there is anything you can do...the only thing is bet a little bigger on early streets, such as 4BB (min) PF specially if they are loose callers and then bet 3/4 pot on the flop but not that it would have made a difference here since you still got the $$ in anyway.
since you did raise PF he is not "supposed" to have K7/Q7.. but you'll get your $$ back in similar spots from him if he makes the idiot PF calls, he cant hook every time...
