I mostly end up calling those annoying small river bets. This probably is -EV alot because most of the villians seem to have a made hand. What are your thoughts about the small riverbets?

There's a reason they're called value bets.

True but sometimes they are just bluffs.. and I wondered if other people just fold here..

Depends on the villain. Against an unknown I call here a lot. There are a ton of draws that missed. Some guys will even bet stuff like 77. Add in the decent pot odds and I think it definitely makes it a call.

I think most guys at uNL aren't going to showdown enough, especially in spots like these.

depending on the villain I'll bet the turn or call the river, but my standard without reads is to just fold once I"m called on the flop

I might call this one. Could easily be a missed draw.

I call here sometimes. Since you checked the turn and showed weakness he could be trying to buy. Reads help as well, if he's real straightforward I'll usually let it go.

What the heck, this is an INSTAcall after you check the turn.

What does the u in uNL stand for?

How loose/ aggressive is villian? Think of all the missed flush draws and JT combos that have now missed.

Very easy call although the easiness depends a bit on the looseness of the villain. Some players have only maybe KQ in their OOP calling range that includes K. Against those players I bet the turn and maybe against some others too. Also, if he had checked, you should have valuebetted about half a pot.

this is pretty much what i'm hoping for when i check a flop or turn behind with a marginal hand. if i'm not calling this, i'm not checking behind in the first place.

Also mathematics rule our decisions and here it's enough to be good 25% of the time for it to be profitable. And there's quite a lot of things the villain may be betting here as the others mentioned.

It would be a whole lot different if the K and the A changed places - some villains play Ax religiously and refuse to fold it when they flop a pair.
