Villain is a 13/3/2.3 over 300. WTF does hero do? What does it mean to limp-call on the button? Why on earth would anyone do that?

meh def dont fold. you have a ton of outs. I might even RR here.

edit- never mind thought you had a flush draw so dont RR even not sure if you are getting odds to call for just a str8 here either if we put home on a set only.

fold. he could have 77,88. i would say his limp call was an attemp to see the flop as cheap as possible and this time it paid off so it seems.

I think this is a situation where checking the flop is the best line to take. If your opponent bets, you can call. If he checks behind, great, you get a free card. Betting and getting raised sucks because you have to now forfeit your entire equity in the pot.

[/ QUOTE ]I think this is a bit results-oriented, if his small PP missed the flop he will insta-fold to a cbet, that's what set-miners do. However, along those lines, I suppose you can cbet small, like 1/2 pot, then if he has hit a set he will raise and you can get away or figure out if you have implied odds enough to try to turn a str8 (probably not though.)
