No, so far it's not happened to me, but I'm hoping it will soon.

Hence the thread. I was wondering if anyone here has ever played at a final table where it was televised someplace and if so, how it affected your play the first time you did so?

Are there any tricks anyone can recommend to not let the fact you are on TV (and your cards might be shown to the audiance) intefear with your (normal) style of play?

i played two UPC tournaments. i don't know if they ever aired. both were in back to back weekends and the first time i think i was a little shaky. the whole scene even though i knew the show was so low budget and late at night had me on edge. the second time out i felt much more comfortable. it's just something you have to get used to, there's no way to adjust so you aren't affected because everyone is in some way. the second time i felt like i was much more comfortable and played excellent.

Didn't affect me at all but I'm pretty rational about those kings of things. People play pretty straight forward. Honestly if anything I think I played better. Everyone who will be watching you has no clue what they're doing and a lot of them will be drunk, so who cares.

Sometimes the lights can make things pretty hot so come prepared to shed some clothing (not a pun).

the "pre-game" interview shoot was a bit nerve racking for me, but, when at the FT I was so zoned (in or out?), was virtually unaware of the cams/mikes/lights & they were not a factor
