$1K tournament on Pokerroom.com, six-handed deep stack table. Lots of limping and terrible passive play overall at my table except from one LAG player (villain) who seemed to know what he was doing, at least post flop.

I have 23k, villain has 32k.
Blinds 150-300.

Villain open limps UTG+1
Bouton calls
SB completes
I check ATo in the BB.

Flop A/images/graemlins/spade.gif 7/images/graemlins/diamond.gif 4/images/graemlins/diamond.gif

(I don't have a diamond)

I bet 900 into the 1200 pot, Villain raises to 3000, other players fold.

I hate these spots.

What's my best line now?
Is a check raise better on the flop ?
Or a check call then reevaluate the turn ?

check call then reevaluate the turn.
in the end your playin a top pair rag kicker out of position.
keep the pot small till later streets closer to the show down.
