How exactly does the initial 100 % deposit bonus up to $500 work? Specifically, the AP points you earn. The rules state "For each raked hand (minimum rake of $0.50) you play and reach the flop you will receive 1 point." Does that mean pretty much what it says, that if you are in a raked hand less than .50 you get 0 points? If that is the case it seems one would have to play at least 2/4 limit to ever get any points...

You read it right. Bonus clears very slowly.

So, its almost impossible to get even a single point unless one plays 3/6 +? This seems really lame!

Alright nvmd, I see the pot has to be about $10 for a .50 rake, which $1/2 seems to have often enough.

The killer isn't that the pot has to reach $10... it's the fact that it has to reach $10 AND you personally have to see the flop.

What about the bad beat pots? Since its an auto .50 rake, does that count?

So, one could see the flop even in an unraised pot, fold to a flop bet, and still get an AP point if the pot reaches $10?

Correct.

The 0.50 from the BBJ does not count. However, you should be avoiding BBJ tables as those games are not beatable unless you are playing something atleast 5/10 limit or 1/2 NL or higher.
