What should I be betting here on the River? What should I do if raised? I think if I bet here and get raised I have to call because of stack sizes.

Also is my betting size ok on each street?

What is this guy calling me with?

Bet 3-4 weaker ace calls all day.

Looks like villain has a weak Ace, and just wants to see a cheap showdown. I'd probably bet again, about $3.00 - $3.50

Have you seen the villain bet out when checked to, in other hands? If so, you might want to check to him to induce a bet, which you should definitely call.

Thanks for the comments. I bet $3 here and he called.

He had about $4.4 left or so ... what if he had pushed with that? I'm think calling $4.4 on a $16-$17 pot is a given here.

I don't see why, you're almost never ahead.

If you were planning on betting small and calling a raise, you should have just put him all in. Maybe the best play is to make a 2/3 pot value bet and fold to his all in, but I don't think putting him all in is a lot worse.. is it? I have to think it's better than bet/calling.

With the bet/call you only get his extra money in the pot when you're behind. The times he calls with the worst hand, he saves that amount.

Edit: Oh, also looking back at the hand, if you had bet a bit more on the turn, you could have gotten the rest of his stack in easier on the river.

This is very similar to what I was thinking while playing the hand. I had done some quick guestimats and figured even if he was bluffing 30% of the time I still should call a push since it was 4:1 odds on the call.

I almost pushed but didn't think I would get called with a weak ace.

I was questioning how I approached it so thought I would post it here. These forums are great!!
