Hey folks. Gettin back into poker! Played 25 and 50 pre-UIGEA, cashed everything out, blah blah. So I scraped toegther a couple hundred bucks for a buyin, payed some ridiculous vig to get my money online, and voila!

The Villain in this hand is a 19/15/1.75 multitabling TAG.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool (http://poker-tools.flopturnriver.com/Hand-Converter.php) from FlopTurnRiver.com (http://www.flopturnriver.com) (Format: 2+2 Forums)

SB ($5.50)
BB ($9.80)
Villain ($17.20)
MP ($22.95)
CO ($9.20)
Hero ($13.75)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 4/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 5/images/graemlins/spade.gif.
<font color="#CC3333">Villain raises to $0.35</font>, MP calls $0.35, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, Hero calls $0.35, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>.

<font color="blue">Okay so he's got half decent cards. 22-AA, AK-AT, AKo-AJo, KQs, KQo</font>

Flop: ($1.20) 4/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 2/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 4/images/graemlins/diamond.gif <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
Villain checks, MP checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $0.85</font>, Villain calls $0.85, MP folds.

<font color="blue">22, 55-AA, air?</font>

Turn: ($2.90) A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Villain checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $2.75</font>, Villain calls $2.75.

<font color="blue">Okay, now I'm losing to 22, AA, any random 4. I'm beating like everything else: 55-KK, air w/an A... He's still check/calling. I got confused right here.</font>

River: ($8.40) J/images/graemlins/heart.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Villain checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero ???</font>

<font color="blue">Now I'm losing to 22, JJ, AA, x4 (which he doesn't have). I'm still beating all sorts of hands, but what calls me? 55-TT probably don't call anymore. Do QQ, KK, call? Ax probably calls, but he probably doesn't have Ax. What sort of line is profitable on this river vs this sort of opponent? I'm not skilled at weighting ranges yet, so I don't know how to do any sort of weirdo math /images/graemlins/wink.gif</font>

Overthinking this? Is there an obvious/standard line? Any advice appreciated!

From the looks of it, I think villain has AK or 55+. I would still value bet the river and fold to a shove. I think he still calls with any Ace here. Anything less than an Ace will fold.

preflop is fine because of the stacksizes and mp's call

flop:
I think he thinks you want to pick up the pot there and his 2 overs might be good. All suited and off suited broadway, some suited A are still in his range.
Now i would narrow his range to some overpair to the flop or A. set would weak up here imo. His turn play is weird though. He might picked up a weak toppair.
Bet the river for value, sth around 4.50-5.50 looks fine imo

I think KK, QQ will call here, too. It's NL10 /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Valuebet river. You are way overthinking this.

Thanks folks.

Only a couple thousand hands in, so most situations are still new all over again.

Appreciate the input.

Definitely valuebet river. Most villains of the description you give would have bet anything that beats you on the flop. It looks like he check-called the flop with overcards vs your possible late position steal, and then paired his ace on the turn.
