Villan is 35/3/3 for a few hundred datamined hands. No personal history with him. I just sat at this table, posted my BB, and now the SB. I elected to just call from the SB since I just sat down and didnt have a feel for the table action.

I like a push on the river, there's a lot of two pair hands he could have by this point that he will call for a 1/2 pot bet; his range isn't limited to only a whiffed flush draw. Honestly I think the decision is closer between c/f and push than c/c or push. I think if you bet less on the turn you commit yourself less to the pot and make a c/f on the river a better play. The problem with this river is that a portion of whiffed club draws just now made a straight, while anything calling prior also has one. If you bet $3 on the turn pot is $11 making villain's push nearly $9 which makes c/f a better play on the river.

Obviously you don't know that a terrible river card is coming, but I think it makes the decision easier to have a more definitive bet.

To me, anyone starting a hand with $13.65 when the buy-in is $50 is a very weak poker player (unless he just lost a hand and didn't have a chance to reload, which I'm assuming is not the case).

Who knows what he has been calling you with. I make this call, figuring it's about 50% chance he has a K and 50% chance this is a donk bet with a weaker hand than you have.

Wow I actually love your line here, the club draw whiffed and MP is a total villian, this is an easy call and even though you did not intend to you played the river correctly by c/c for max value I think.

Standard line. Probably shoving the river would be better, to give him 3-1 odds and force him to call with worse hands. By checking, we allow him to safe check his worse hands.
