First spot flush misses second flush gets there. We have a little over a pot size bet. What lines do you like to take on these rivers. This may be simple but i am always a little confused here.

W/o any reads,
c/call the first one to let him bluff hearts

second one, c/f to any real bet

shocbb6, I end up taking those lines most of the time. I am wondering if anyone thinks leading either river is better. Do you think the villain bluffs very much if i check the second hand. I think checking that river makes it look like i am folding.

Well the main problem for me with this is you are out of position.

You are stuck in defensive mode even though you are leading.

Very uncomfortable.

If you put him on a draw, don't give him odds to call. A pot size bet heads up gives him 2 to 1 ish to take one off.

Instead on the turn with a safe card, or what you feel is a safe card pop it about pot and a half, or pot and 3/4.

That should make for a tough call with a flush draw.

The way I see it your hand hasn't improved and you need this hand to be over with real quick like.

Plus I think you will be less on the defensive and recieve much more information letting you know where you are at if you get a call.

As far as if a river flush card comes. Maybe throw out a stop-bet for about half the pot. If you get bumped you are more likely to be beat and you can then make your decision to call or dump the hand.

I think c/call the first is the best line by far, giving the chance to missed flush draws to try to take a stab at the pot.
The second one is tough, and I probably check fold to a large bet. Could try a blocking bet if your opponent is passive

CC first example.
You could CC around 10-15 or maybe block bet for $5 and call a min raise.
