Villain was loose/passive. No stats on him. He insta-c/c flop. I didn't think he had much so I fired the turn. Again, he c/c very quickly. River was good, but I was worried he might have been chasing A high flush or caught two pair. I really, really wanted to bet the river here but wasn't sure.

I did end up checking behind. Felt like I should probably bet, but looks like checking is better. Villain had 77.

On a side note, every time I have read weakness in a villain and fired a 2nd barrel they have never folded. Sure enough they have a weak hand every time, but I can't get them to lay it down. Just doesn't seem to be worth it at this level.

I bluffed 3 times at NL25 in 14k hands and were a winning player.
Wait for the right situation and just use the fact that those guys call a lot.

He wouldnt have called the River shove. A and T are major scare cards for him.

Why can't hero bet $7.5 - $10 against this player? Small bet will not make him laydown hands we beat, plus we can be pretty sure we are not going to be bluff raised by him because our bet looks weak. Why can't hero make a one fifth or one third of a pot valuebet?

What will villain CALL with that we beat???? IMO when villain calls it's is -EV...Villain will never laydown a hand that beats us..

I am under impression that a loose passive, after alling flop and turn bets with 77, will call a $7.5-$10 dollar bet into a $30 pot on the river. True he will never laydown a hand that beats us, but on the river there are so many hands that we beat that will call small bets.
