now, i was thinking after that flop bet he probably had 99-qq, so i lead out 7 and got insta-raised all in... what hands do you guys put him on? still an insta-call getting about 2-1 on a call?

Fold or re-raise pre-flop. Fold or raise on the flop. As played, check behind on the turn and call a reasonable bet on the river unimproved. If he checks again on the river, make a value-bet. As played, I'm lost on the turn against his push.

I've hes defending his blinds so strongly it can be really hard but I strongly believe he has a set, quads or pocket overpair. Look at flop: He bets 3/4 pot on the flop. It's not a cbet I would made on paired board with flush draw! You need to cbet little less on that kind of boards. He has 44, 4A,4K,55,5K,5A, pocket pairs like 99+. That's my guess. But it's hard to guess really when You say he defends his blinds. I think You're behind but You still have outs to very good flush.
