View Full Version : NL 50: I hate connecting with the flop from the BB.

I always get myself into trouble when I get a look at the flop from the BB and then connect. I find it really hard to play mediocre hands oop.

Villian is 9/9/2 over 55. I've been reasonably active. What is his range here?

Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.25/$0.50 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter (http://www.legopoker.com/hh))

just muck it w/o better reads. we're OOP with a [censored] kicker and getting to showdown will get mighty expensive.

Easy fold. This guy is a complete nit. If he doesnt have a btter ace, he has a set or 2 pair here.

It retrospect it looks like an easy fold. But I am taking shots at NL50, moving up from NL 25, and all of sudden I think everyone's making moves on me. I find it a dangerous syndrome, and one I'm having a hard time shaking.

its just a gambler instinct to want to believe someone is making a move on you when you don't want to throw your hand away. its the root of "i put you on AK".

I c/c the flop. There's no draw to be afraid of, and you'll get bet out of them almost every time in this situation. Get the value out of them letting you hit for free. From the turn, you can decide to b/f, c/c (usually it'll go chk/chk) and vbet the river.

Play a small pot whichever way you do it. There's no conceivable way to play a big pot with this hand considering pf action.

Danger Danger Will Robinson. That's not a good place to be. Work hard to purge yourself of that sentiment.
