View Full Version : New WSOP Events You Most Want to See

Personally, I really think they should add a short-handed Limit Hold'em event, and in keeping with their new lease on mixed games, I would love to see a $5k or $10k mixed NL Hold'em/PL Omaha event.

I'd also like to see the Main Event bumped up to $25k, but that's another matter. Any others that people would like to see added?

6 card omaha PL. Infact I think vegas casinos should start spreading this as a cash game. Very popular here in Scotland and in Ireland. You guys dont know what your missing ahahahhahaha. Online rooms have so far shyed away from including this game as its such a bankroll buster.

You mean bring back Chinese Poker (http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/event.php?a=r&n=7901). And the mixed doubles (http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/event.php?a=r&n=8128).

Phil's right, the bracelets are devalued these days.

I still don't understand why they havent come out with a 3 card game were you see five community cards like hold'em and omaha.

Hold'em can be too tight and slow, and Omaha can be too crazy.

Agreed more rebuys. $500 rebuy for 3 levels. Any added decision-making gives the better player an edge.

SPEED POKER: 15 seconds to act! slower structure ok.

Limit with a bigger bet each round: e.g. 10 pre-flop, 20, 30, 50. (Slower than pot limit, rewards math skills)

Longer structure for the ME, which should be set in stone at 10K: More time equals more skill, raising the entry fee just means less dead money.

Bracelet winners' mixed game: A $20K event paid for, automatically out of the 1st place prize for every preceeding event, the games alternating in rough approximation of the proportion in which they were played. IE: 60 Events, 3 PLO events = 5% PLO and so on. Event designed to last three days, paying top 9.

Under 21 freeroll, 1800 seats offered through qualifiers; prize pool donated by bracelet winners. Top 999 places pay. (Personally, I like this one best... Ideas like Doyle kicking in 999 copies of Super System 2 come to mind.

Best, most realistic ideas in this thread so far:

Some event which includes Badugi--either all Badugi, or some kind of mix with other "low" games--maybe something like Fixed Limit Half Badugi Half Triple Draw.

A mix event with just the three (or maybe four?) major stud variants: Stud Hi, Razz, 8 or better..and for the fourth, maybe hi/lo no qualifier. That would be a very interesting event.
