About 12 hands into this table, MP seems to be making strange plays at every pot he is involved in... HUD isn't up on him yet but this he's done this play a few times already.

His flop bet is setting off weak play alarms in my head, and I can easily rep the Ace here. Bad move or quality use of position?

If you're confident in your read it's okay once, but I'd bet much less. Probably about 1.8 or so. What has he showndown when he bets like this?

[/ QUOTE ]No one is going to showdown with him, he won about 7 out of 12 pots. I gave up a quality hand to him OOP really early b/c I had no read. Are you sure $1.8 doesn't show weakness on me? These maniac type players tend to pounce on any sign of that, I'd expect the bet you suggested to be re-raised a lot.

I think it gets the job done as much as a larger bet. We are bluffing here so I tend to bet smaller. It's not like we're minraising. I do this bet size with bluffs and monsters.
