Villain is like 18/14/1 over kind of small sample. No real specific reads and we haven't played a pot together. If it matters I took a little bit of time to bet the flop and quite a bit to check the turn. I bet the river in a reasonable amount of time.

I often donk away my money like this aswell, but then on the other hand it might be the only way to get your money back.
Don't really know how good/bad this play is, I wonder myself..

What are you trying to sell here? To me it looks like overcards that made a cont bet, shut down, and then trying to buy the pot. If you truly had a big pair, you would've bet more on the flop and turn to protect your hand. If you're repping the str8, what hand are you 3betting w/ preflop? I'm not convinced and would call you with anything decent in this spot.

this is exactly how I would play JJ

I don't really like it. Nothing you represent is helped by the board (it's all blanks for your hand range). So basically you are representing an overpair that you whiffed a turn check-raise with (this is actually quite realistic). But the guy was willing to call the flop for almost 2/3 pot with you representing an overpair. I tend to think he'll call the river for about 1/2 pot. Granted he might have missed with the flush draw....

I generally think for a little and check river, hoping he'll check behind and that AK wins over AQ.

I dont 3bet this pf, I want the option to c/r the flop and if 3 bet I can fold confidently.

I would check behind the river here, this play can be seen in harrington on holdem volume 1. And I recall him saying that this play gets called by a huge range of hands since it is so tricky and unorthodox.

I play JJ-AA this way on this flop oop at least 50% of the time.
