I think I should've checked the river and call a small bet only right?

If you're going to be the turn then please bet more than 1/2 pot. You're giving decent odds to 1-card flush draws.

As played, yes, I think checking the river and calling a small bet is probably fine.

I think at some point on this hand you're going to have to give the villain the lead to see what he does with it. You learn to little by just getting called. I think we check the turn. If he checks behind, it sucks that you gave him a free card, but then you can be pretty sure if you're ahead on a blank river. As played, he could just be letting you build a nice pot for him when he has the made flush.

The small c/c river line is better since you may get a free showdown or you might get something like AcQx to bet here.
