Okay, this is a bit of a backwards hand example. I played a hand recently where I probably would have taken the same line with a variety of hands. The challenge here is to choose a [reasonable] range for both myself and villain that makes the line profitable.

Villain is a 20/12 TAG and I feel he's been running over me with aggression. He probably sees me as a weak player. I've seen him call my cbets with almost any pair. He has also raised many of my cbets, most of to which I've folded. In this session, I've been tending to check many flops when HU vs him.

you could have pretty much anything. i think he's most likely to have mid/small pockets. he probably 3bets you preflop with most other hands.

edit: that is, before your river raise

Sorry for the brevity but his hand really looks like 55-99 (or whatever he doesn't 3pop you with preflop) while yours looks like one of two things. A Kx where x!=A which checked behind on the turn for pot control, or complete air that recognized that he's kinda blocking the river and he can't really call a raise without TT+. If you know that he might look you up with a mid pp, your range def should include TT+.

he has to have either a flush or medium PP to make this profitable for pretty much any hand of yours imo. im afraid that he cant lay down these hands to someone that he think is weaki, even if his blocking bet is raised.
