Any info on the 2007 WSOP TOC

Does anyone have any info on when it starts, if/where there will be online coverage of it, or anything else like that? Thanks!

why create a prize pool and run an extra tourney, when Harrahs can charge more fees and keep the money.

TOC was sponsored by pepsi, so players did not contribute to the prize pool. if harrah's wanted to run it without a sponsor, they would be paying out of their own pocket.

I believe it was shortly before the WSOP began that Jeffrey Pollack publicly acknowledged that there *would* be a WSOP Tournament of Champions in late 2007. (And I'm 50% sure he said something like it would be "better than ever.") I can't remember the specific source of Pollack's comment, and several Google searches haven't brought up anything useful. But I am 99% sure that I read that from Pollack in a legitimate media source.

Other than Pollack's comment that there *will* be a TOC in 2007, I haven't found any information at all -- nothing on the invitees, prizepool, format/structure, etc.

I love this event (I consider it to be one of the best tournaments of the year -- in my personal Top 5), and was sad to see it off the WSOP summer schedule this year. But I am keeping my eyes and ears open, and will be asking Harrah's to provide more specific information soon.

Strictly 3rd hand hearsay:

Emirates Airlines was the alleged sponsor that was penciled for the 2007 TOC and Dubai, United Arab Emirates was the location that was allegedly penciled it.

The 2007 TOC appears to have been cancelled.
