This generally sums up my SSNLHE sessions....I plod away for hours seeing the word "fold" come up dozens of times when I bet when i'm ahead with a good hand...i grind up a measly few dollars over a few hours, and then all of a sudden....oh hey, "Aces, and only one person called me"...and then

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (9 handed) internettexasholdem.com (http://www.internettexasholdem.com)

UTG+1 ($17.90)
MP1 ($5.05)
Hero ($23.30)
MP3 ($23.15)
CO ($29.25)
Button ($6.40)
SB ($36.40)
BB ($24.15)
UTG ($9.80)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, A/images/graemlins/heart.gif.
<font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $1</font>, MP3 calls $1, <font color="#666666">4 folds</font>.

Flop: ($2.35) 4/images/graemlins/club.gif, 2/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, J/images/graemlins/spade.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $1</font>, MP3 calls $1.

Turn: ($4.35) 3/images/graemlins/diamond.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $2</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP3 raises to $15</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $21.3</font>, MP3 calls $6.15 (All-In).

River: ($46.80) Q/images/graemlins/club.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players, 1 all-in)</font>

Final Pot: $46.80

So at what point do you dump the biggest overpair in the game, should you just assume, with no reads, that whenever he RR greater than the pot after you've bet PF, Flop and turn, and there's nothing really out there, that your one pair hand is no good? I REALLY need opinions on this one, as like i said it usually ends my session in a very bad way :/

First - There's a Full Ring forum
Second - Raise more on flop
Third - Your one pair hand is probably no good when you get raised for about double the current potsize...

This is a very important theorem and you can find a good discussion of it here (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&amp;Number=6600592&amp;an=0&amp;page=3#Post 6600592) .

Also pr0crast put together a great anthology of things like this. You can find it here, http://www.pr0crast.com/2+2.NL.Anthology.v1.htm

I disagree. Overplaying big pairs can be a very big leak in your game.

Adhere for the most part to the Baluga Theorum. You got raised on the turn, so dump it. BUT, your turn bet was just asking for a raise. Don't bet less than half pot, like, ever, unless its a vbet w/ the nuts or something. Bet 2/3 pot on this turn and if he has air/draw he is less likely to perceive that he may have the extra FE required to make a raise profitable. Then when he does raise, you can fold confidently, because you know your pussy turn bet didn't induce a bluff.

your flop bet is garbage. Make it much bigger. 3/4 pot or so.

turn bet is garbage, again, much bigger.

he can easily have a 2pr here on turn, or even just a jack...i dont mind getting it in as played because of your ridic weak leads, but if you make real bets and this happens you need to dump it.
