WSOP Europe - Number of Players

How many players are anticipated for the upcoming WSOP Europe Main Event. I'm just wondering if the prize pool will be bigger than the current ME. I mean its twice the amount buy-in (£10,000=$20,000), and its 18 and overs being in Europe. Also I take it there isn't the same problems with US legislation preventing online sites pre-registering players.
Anyone know anything about numbers expected?

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that it was capped. In any case, there's no way the casinos involved could handle 3000 playes. Absolutely no [censored] way.

I have seen an estimate of 700 on one site offering satellites.

Better yet stay home and play a decent 5-10 game and win a grand every weekend....

Its being held across 3 casinos though, so could easy take quite a high capacity.

"On September 10, the WSOP Europe Main Event - a six-day, £10,000 No-Limit Texas Hold'Em Championship - will begin at The Empire, The Sportsman and Fifty. The playing field will be consolidated beginning September 13 at The Empire."

These clubs in London are all very small. I've only been inside one of them, but I would guess that none of them will have even 20 tables available for players in these tournaments. As such, the field will be much smaller than at the Rio, and even with the higher buyin, the prize pool will still be much smaller.

It wouldn't surprise me a bit if these events are sold out to capacity pretty far in advance.

£5000 PLO 160 Players
£10,000 NLH Main Event 750 Players

I heard somewhere that you have to be 21 to play in London casinos. Is the WSOP Europe age minimum 21 or 18? Anyone know?
