There's no shame in letting this go for now, but keep an eye of this guy and take some notes. Look at it this way, you only invested 10% of your stack, there's no real need to gamble with the rest of your stack on a mediocre hand to protect that investment.

This minraise/flatcall preflop usually makes me giddy. But you can't know if he does that with small pairs or the big ones.

i probably call. i highly doubt villain is shoving 5x the pot with an 8. i think villains range includes 78, 89, A8, Kt-Kq, 99-QQ, AK and AA. but i think this range is weighted more towards hands you are ahead of. that being said, its close IMO.
