I just read the bios of the final 9 players at the ME final table.

http://www.cardplayer.com/poker-news/article/9290

It seems every one of them players poker for a living.
I know last year not everyone was a pro for a living.

Reading comphrension problems?

Childs - "Aspiring pro." Sound like he's taken a few months off work to give it a shot. I suppose you can count him as a pro although coming into the tournament that would have been a stretch. With this finish I'm sure that will change. Call it a maybe.

Yang - No way you can read pro into a psychologist and social worker who won a $225 sat to get there.

Rahme - Retired businessman.

Kravchenko - Although they call him a "businessman" it doesn't seem a stretch to call him a pro.

The remainder are definitely pros. By my count that is 6 pro, 1 maybe, 2 not pro. Close to everybody, but not everybody. Of course if either of the not pro players win they'll become pro.

YES

By getting to the final table you automatically become a poker pro.

I've seen Jamie Gold and Paul Wasicka on HSP since their final table. They're obviously pros. I mean you don't have to actually make money to be a pro, just be a big time gambler.

If you go to the NVG forum you can see proof of all the broke pros that exist in the threads that some of our courageous posters start all the time.

I LOL'ed. In old school WSOP broadcasts, everyone went out of their way to say they weren't a pro. I believe Dan Harrington was a "Toy-Maker" or something.
