Just qualified at Stars. Is anyone else going? I was also wondering if anyone knows specific details concerning lead up events.

Hi Gaussen,

Congratulations on qualifying for the APPT Manila.

We will have several side tournaments at all the APPT events. We are working on the schedule for Manila and will post it to our site next week. There will also be cash games available, but not in the main tournament area.

i've living in manila at the moment and i play tournament/cash game at the casino, once a week or something.

its a really friendly card room. they are building a new poker room, which they will use for the tourney. if your staying at the hyatt hotel (attached) its pretty plush. its in malate which aint the best part of manila, its a bit trashy. go to makati for boozing etc.

am leaving before the tournament, but if i qualify through stars i'll go back for it.

if i find out more will post again.

Qualified for the APPT in Manila at pokerstars (Saitek00). I'm 20 from a little village in the UK and have played nearly no live poker in my time. Any advice on how to deal with this rather overwhelming set of circumstances would be most helpful. I'm not asking for help with tournament strategy or how I should play just assistance in knowing what to expect playing my first big live event. In fact my first live event big or not. Any advice would be welcome no matter how small or insignificant it may seem.
