Gambling 911 is reporting ECO Card is leaving the U S market, if you have funds there, move them while you can to avoid another possible Neteller mess, you know, loss / frozen funds.

There is no indication of pending U S litigation, just be safe, better than sorry later.

Why does this happen right after i put moeny in ecocard? I don't really know of any other way to get money off of prima (Royal Card Club).

I am able to log into the site.

Also, I went to a poker site and simply deposited the few funds I had there since that site will allow me to use an alternative withdraw method.

Site is up now for me too, just a coincidence. A timeline of the US pullout would be helpful.

That I have not seen, only the one article.

Reading the end of the article, it looks like they are just transferring the business, name change or whatnot. Maybe I am reading it wrong, I just have little faith in anything g911 claims from a source meaning what the title says.

Yes, but also stated, ONLY those who have $500.00 in transactions may / will be invited to join the new site.

Still looking for other confirmation......

Just logged into my Eco account. No problems getting in. A new screen popped up asking for verification of identity info including asking for passport/DL #. I had previously sent them a copy of my passport in order to withdraw, so no big deal. I finished the screen and it let me into my account.

I don't have any money in the account, as I only used it to transfer funds - always took them out the day it hit Eco. I'm hoping that whatever new system they are transferring people to will include me even though I don't have any $ in there currently. I have had several large dollar transactions go through before. Never had a problem with Eco, so I'm hoping that things work out.

I can't imagine many US customers having less than $500 in transactions there considering the steep fees for doing wire transfers. Really not economical for low dollar amounts.

Received the following E-Mail from ECO this morning:
Date: Tue, 17 Jul 2007 14:31:21 +0300
From: "EcoCard Support Team" <support@ecocard.com> Add to Address Book Add Mobile Alert
Subject: RE: Message from a user (EcoCard)

Dear Client,

Thank you for contacting us.

It is true that EcoCard is reviewing its position in the US market, and will put in place whatever measures are required of financial institutions if and when proposals are published by the US government in accordance with the recently passed UIGEA bill. Of course it is possible that other payment methods may be made available to you by the sites which you frequent, and if you trust those operators to suggest dependable companies then it is your decision whether to use those services or not. Ecocard will not promote these services.

If EcoCard needs to take action to block gambling sites for US members, it will be because it is legally required to do so, and the company will therefore not involve itself in any other payment solutions that may be considered to be in breach of US law.

Please feel free to contact us should you require any further assistance.

Kind Regards,

Nice non-response from Eco.

My guess - and this is just a non-substantiated guess - is that they new system that was mentioned for US players might be a poker-only payment system that will exclude the pure casinos. Prima network is still a little grey in that respect since they do offer blackjack through the poker client, but maybe there's a way that can be turned off so that Eco's spinoff service would be comfortable dealing with US customer's on a poker-only basis.

Standard response from Battlefield. I e-mailed them asking about the situation for US players if/when Eco leaves the market:

Thank you for contacting Battlefield Poker.

We are working on providing new methods of depositing and withdrawing to players shortly. More information should be emailed out to you once these methods should be emailed out to you in the next few days.

Please do not hesitate in contacting us if you have any further questions or comments. The tracking number for this issue is LTK91018645386X.

Kind Regards

it's definately down. It's been down all day

In the email they sent me they said,
"Please be informed that you will be informed before any possible change in advance thus you do not need to worry about your existing funds." Maybe the forgot the last part of the last sentence: you do not need to worry about your existing funds because we well be confiscating all of them mwaahaahawww
