I am surprised that no one has a clear chip advantage going into the final table. It is tight at the top and any of the 8-9M guys can double up and be right there as well. It looks pretty wide open.

ESPN PPV (https://r.espn.go.com/espn/purchase?productOfferId=ppv_wspoker)

Does anyone know if you can watch this on delay at all? For example, if I go to bed at a reasonable hour, can I pick it up in the morning from where I left off? Or will it be strictly live?

This seating arrangement, I think, could be great for Khan, who would have the three big stacks all on his right. It's also very interesting with the three big stacks right in a row. (Lam, then Hilm, then Kalmar) Lam and Lee Watkinson probably have the worst position, Watkinson especially with the three huge stacks all having position on him. That could be very interesting to watch during the final table, as Watkinson is really going to have to pick his spots well and play his button/cutoff position a lot to have position on the big stacks.

Interesting first hand as Yang raises UTG 6x the BB or so, Kalmar calls, flop is AQ5, Yang fires 2.5 million and Kalmar folds. Kalmar must have had a hand like a medium pair or KJ I'd guess?

Hand #2 - Alex Kravchenko has the button in seat 2, he raises to 750,000, Jerry Yang reraises from the big blind to 2 million, and Kravchenko folds 9-5 offsuit face up. Yang takes the pot.

Hand #1 - Jerry Yang

Hand #1 - Raymond Rahme has the button in seat 1, Jerry Yang raises from under the gun to 1.4 million, and Jon Kalmar calls from late position. The flop comes {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{5-Spades}, Yang bets 2.5 million, and Kalmar folds. Jerry Yang takes the first pot worth 3.43 million.

Under the Gun Raises
In three out of the first six hands, the player fromfirst position, otherwise known as "under the gun" opened up for a raise. That's somewhat unusual since No Limit Hold'em is a game of position.

Are the players getting monsters hands in early position or are they shifting gears and playing aggressively? It's hard to tell wothout seeing the hole cards. But we'll keep an eye on an future UTG raises.

I didn't notice much about Yang in previous days.

Why is it that the announcers had the initial impression that Yang was a weeker player?

jasonfish11

No but I'd bet yang had TT+ or a set of 7s.

Yang really decided to attack the beginning of the table, assuming other players would be concerned about being knocked out early, and then the chips he won would allow him to attack the larger stacks later on, good plan.

Jerry Yang has been LIGHTS OUT throughout the entire tournament. No surprise that he's been able to chip up.

I though Yang played his short stack well at the end of the last day, I had ranked him as the most aggressive of the shorter stacks.

Yang's INSTASHOVE on the donkbet make me suspicious.

Preflop i'd give him a lot of credit unless he's a known LAG. Chances he's light here is very low.

On the flop after the donk bet there's not a chance i'm folding queens especially with the timing tell.

I could see Yang's range including AK, or any Axcc. Other than that, TT+, a set is unlikely in my book considering he had just won 5pot, doubt he RR small pp preflop.

I call BS on "all-in with the worst hand 2 or 3 times".

Maybe in all-in situations sure, but not with all their chips in.

I also really hate it when people bring up that stat like it matters at all: "how many times were you all in behind"?

So stupid, there's a million better questions to ask that reveal way more.
