Featured Table: Lee Childs Takes a 6.33 Million Pot
At the Featured Table, Lee Childs raises from middle position to 180,000, Stefan Mattsson calls from the cutoff, Jerry Yang reraises from the small blind to 1,000,000, and Childs goes into the tank for a few minutes before he calls. Mattson quickly folds, and it's heads-up to the flop with 2.33 million already in the pot. The flop comes 9 /images/graemlins/club.gif 4 /images/graemlins/heart.gif 3 /images/graemlins/club.gif , Yang bets 2,000,000, and Childs thinks for about 20 seconds before announcing that he is all in -- for more than 5,000,000. His friends and family stand up and applaud, cheering things like "You're the man, Lee!" Yang thinks for about a minute before he folds, and Childs' cheering section explodes in excitement as he takes down the pot worth 6.33 million.

So what do you think Lee Childs was holding??

I think Yang has KK or QQ. I can't decide between AA, 99, or AKcc for Childs.

Yang has AKo or AQs (not clubs obv) in this hand. Maybe a hand like AJ or small possibility 77/88. Lee Childs likely has 99 thru JJ here, maybe QQ. These are the only hands I see playing out in this fashion.

To the person above who thinks Yang had KK or QQ, I really hope this is sarcasm or a typo. You can't seriously believe he's folding Kings or Queens here for 3 million more into 9.3 million after three betting preflop. Cmon.

I think Yang had AKo. I think Childs had 99 to QQ, possibly AKcc. If Yang had a big pocket pair, he wouldn't have folded. If Childs had KK or AA, I think he would have pushed pre-flop. I suppose its possible he had KK and waited to make sure an A didn't flop, but I think most likely 99 to QQ.

Childs had 88. The way this thing has been playing, seems like he shoves everything else pre flop. Yang had AKo.
