View Full Version : Dario leading the ME, who's cheering for him?

According to pokernews Dario's got a healthy chip lead. Is he a big D-Bag? I have played HU with him once and he came off as a huge ass. It's possible that he was just having a bad day...
I'd hate to be at his table when he has a big stack, guy's a monster. That said, I hope he wins. Since I won the HU match, that would make me the best player in the world, right? /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Spadavecchia´s one of the old guns. Will be interesting to see how he copes with the Internet generation ...

Heh, I just read this thread (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Board=gossip&Number=11177069&pa ge=0&fpart=1). It looks like Dario's got plenty of man-love coming from Italy. One even called him the most talented European player, isn't that blasphemy?

I suspect a lot of highstakes NL plyers are cheering for him.

This is said about everyone who goes deep in a tourney. Does Dario really lose at cash?
What I remember from stars, is that he managed to be in the green in STT´s despite getting knocked out very early very often due to hugely over aggro play in the early levels.

i wouldn't mind him winning, if only to raise chrono cross awareness. also, it would be ok for an 'established' player to finally win, even if it's online. but LOSE THE HARRY POTTER SCARF ALREADY

At SNGs he's not bad but a little too wild. I don't think I ever saw him chat.

Him winning might be very good if a lot of bad players try to copy his style.

I know it's not a Harry Potter scarf but, damn it, it looks like a Harry Potter scarf. Could someone photoshop some Harry Potter glasses on him?

Suzzer is a highly respected high stakes STT player, he knows what he's talking about. FPP != $$$

What is stevesbets real name? What does his sharkscope graph look like?

Thanks. But "highly respected" is going a little too far. Post entertainment value maybe, game no. And no, I'm really not being modest.

(Although I do think I may be better than a lot of old-school STTFers think I am, which is fine with me.)

Is it true that Dario donked off a big stack last year by trying to bluff Dmitri Nobles? Nothing wrong with bluffing, but you got to pick your spots. We all get caught, but how hard was it to see that Dmitri was a calling station? Why get into it with another huge stack? More than once?

i played with him at the end of day 2. he wasnt an ass. 50% chance he's gay, though. not that there's anything wrong with that.

he is v aggro, and struck me as a good player, obviously.

Real Name = Steve Jacobs (from what I can google)

Sharkscope: doesn't work as an image, and I can't host it.

6,400 matches = +400K, with a fairly steady climb.

Also, he's 4th on the current sharkscope 2007 SNG leaderboard.

He also won the 10K high stakes challenge on pokerstars over the weekend, but he didn't seem to get much respect from the 2+2ers here (of course, the way he won his first match didn't help J7s all-in pre-flop for a lot of BBs - can't recall how many).

Official poker rankings for MTTS:

stevesbets:

# of events = 217
Ave buy-in = $317
Return on investment = -43%

does not include his 10K tourney win on pokerstars over the weekend (I don't know why)

Most of his best results seem to come from head-s up tourneys.

His regular MTT results look pretty pitiful.

Yeah, that's all I knew about him. I watched a lot of this tournament, but didn't watch his first table--didn't know his name at that time, so was watching Fischman and others instead.

He didn't seem so out of line on his final two tables.
