Whenever I think of Todd phillips, I think of the guy on the bus in Road Trip trying to lick Amy Smart's toes.

I definitely think of him at Mitch's door, with that look mixing confusion, defiance and irritation.

I also would much prefer him over Tobey Maguire, if a celebrity goes deep. More likely to produce good conversation.

How is option 4 not winning by a landslide?

Is he any good? I think I saw a thread where Howard Treesong said he was an underrated regular at Commerce.

I don't know many people that would risk 200BB on one pair. He MUST be bad.

Anyone who has a kink and writes a part in the movie just so he can act it out with the hot star is OK with me.

I just wonder if had to pay royalties to Tarantino for that trick.

I don't even have a foot fetish and I want to lick Amy Smart's toes.

He also developed "Starsky & Hutch", so I voted "No".

Hutch to Starsky: "I'm not your mother, I'm your partner."

Classic great bad line in itself.

OK I've looked in several different places and can't find out what happened to Phillips? Gone? Not gone?

I've played with Todd many times in cash games. He's got odd mannerisms and talks quite a bit; he's amusing and insightful and confusing as hell. I'm rarely able to get a line on him, but others might -- and if I remember aright, he finished high up at the Legends ME a couple of years back.

'05 Legends was the first tournament Todd and I ever played. We were at the same table for 3 days. He drove every dealer crazy because he never (not once) remembered to post an ante during the entire 4 day tournament. Very funny guy. He and Nenad were blind partners, and Nenad had no idea what to do with him, as Todd beat him out of every pot they played.

Todd also busted a pretty young Joe Pelton, and Joe was so frustrated he threw back his chair Hellmuth style when he went broke. Joe flopped a set and bet it the whole way... Todd called him down with a flush draw, getting there on the river. Said he wanted to bust Joe because "he looked at me funny."

We both final tabled this event, though I busted before TV bubble. Todd went on to finish 5th.

I can totally see all of that. What's your take on him?
