When I was a pledge all I had to do was clean the house and go to lineup once a week. These guys have to run a CASINO? Jesus.

My Mom would use Pledge to clean the tables and the stair-railings, etc. Made the whole house smell like toxic-lemons.

So your Mom's tables were indeed full-pledged.

Apparently, the US marshals made a full pledge to shut down those high-stakes games.

Posting random sentences without any fact/source is GARBAGE. And you know it. Back it up with something. And I say you're better than this because I know your posts and you're above writing randomly.

And it's DOZER.

Let me put my 2 cents in. From what I am hearing...and these are only rumors...I have no evidence to back this up...the Seminoles clearly are pushing for table games.

They simply cannot allow this opportunity to go by. That will be their competitive advantage over the slot machines at the pari-mutuels.

IMHO, the poker action we saw at the Hard Rock was just a message (a power play if you will) and the VOLUNTARY pull back intentional.

When they get them and to what extent I really couldn't guess and what this means for poker I do not know, BUT, if I were a gambling man (he he), I would bet that we will see the return of higher stakes poker at the indians, I really have no doubt about that.

When the dust settles, I believe they will be able to offer (at a minimum) Vegas Style Slots, Higher Stakes Poker, and Black Jack.

New guy here. I appreciate reading all your posts here and in B&M. I've been glued to them since the new law went into effect.

My take is this:

The Seminoles filed a federal lawsuit in January against the state to allow them to have class III gaming as what currently exists in Broward county's parimutuels.

The federal court has granted Gov. Crist 60 days from 6/28 to reach an agreement with the tribe or the feds will allow class III slots in the indian casinos.

Now, it sounds like in the worst-case scenario the Seminoles will get Class III slots without the state getting a cut of the action. So if the state is going to reach an agreement they will have to make some sort of concessions to get their hands on the possible tax money. It would not make sense for the Seminoles to agree to a compact with the state that allows only class III slots that get taxed. They are going to demand additional class III games or something in exchange for agreeing to state taxes on the income.

Given the current issues around property tax cuts in Florida, the state has to be looking for alternative sources of income. Crist also seems to be more cooperative, so they are unlikely to stonewall the tribe like Jeb Bush's administration.

I don't know what the timetable will be, but the 60 day mark will be at the end of August. I'm guessing they will have class III gaming in some capacity by September.

It is my understanding that they are in process of expanding the current casino at the moment. I really do believe that this will happen by the end of September.
